Bubble Trouble Shooter – iPhone App Review

Today we’re taking a look at an iPhone app called Bubble Trouble Shooter. It’s an iPhone game that combines characteristics of Peggle and Candy Crush. Now I was never a huge fan of Candy Crush, but I did enjoy Peggle every now and then.

In Bubble Trouble Shooter, you have to match (at least) 3 bubbles in a row to get them to pop. Once they pop, they clear. Once you clear all of the colored bubbles in each level, you can move on to the next level. The levels get very difficult very quickly.

There are other characters that you can unlock within the game. If you’re impatient, you can purchase them with real money. Otherwise, you can unlock them by hitting certain levels within the game. For example, at level 40, you unlock Jack, the monkey character. I’m still working to unlock him.

There are over 800 levels. That’s a lot of levels! And new levels every month. For example right now there are special Valentines levels that you can play. There are also boss levels that you can play as well where you save different animals.

The core gameplay revolves around matching the 3 colored bubbles, but on top of this there’s a life-system similar to Candy Crush. You get 5 hearts and when you lose a level, you lose a heart. When you’re out you have to wait until they refill which takes a little bit of time.

If you’re a fan of connect-3 type games, you will really enjoy this one. Personally, I think there are too many match 3/connect 3 games on the AppStore. This one though, was pretty fun to play and review. And since it’s free, there’s not really any reason not to download it and give it a try. While Bubble Trouble Shooter may not be the first to the connect 3 genre, it’s one of the best ones I’ve played.
